So, the new heatsink arrived today. This is fortunate, because I’m very bored being at home and being ‘ill’. I declare myself ill, because this morning I was running a temperature of 37.4 deg, and feeling really quite unwell. Still a quick dose of paracetamol and I felt more human.

Except of course when it leads to a hideous misunderstanding between friends.
I thought she was asleep…. so I didn’t say anything…. She thought I was pissed off and so didn’t say anything…. Bah.
These LJs are dangerous things; on the other hand, if it weren’t for LJ we’d probably not have finally managed to communicate the fact that Lauren could actually hear my PC throughout the house; and I wasn’t understanding how grating she was finding it. I guess the fact that my hearing’s terrible is a bit unfortunate sometimes.
Anyway, a new quiet harddisk and a heatsink with no fan is winging it’s way here, so hopefully in a couple of days my PC will be back in action, and somewhat quieter.
I feel lousy.
Not, I’ll grant, anywhere near as bad as I did the last 3 days. But I still feel sicky (probably from the huge amounts of gunk my sinuses have produced and I’ve swallowed over the last couple of days – although you probably didn’t want to know that).
I have in fact, felt like crap, for the last 3 days. Unfortunately, we’ve conducted our house move with me feeling like crap. We’ve still got a bunch of stuff over in the other house; all my tools, for example. My printer. Lots and lots of stuff.

So, I got my car back today.

So, I let the garage do the work on the basis that it’d be an easy job, quick retest, and thus I could have my car back this evening.
Of course….
Things they haven’t done:
– Rung me, like they said they would.
– Got the parts to fit.
– Finished the job
– Redone the MOT.
Again, remind me why I ever let garages near my car? I’m forgetting.
…trying to work, but I rang to check I’d not left the immobiliser on and uh, found out my car was being tested at that moment. It’s now 45 minutes later. I still haven’t heard. I am going nuts!
[Still listening, although I keep going back to tracks 1 – 6 (mind you I’ve only reached about 30 overall!), which doesn’t help. Wondering if I can use them in a video….]
