Linux get-a-mac spoofs

So, I freely admit to being a Mac junkie these days. But; despite that, there’s still a part of me that wants to love Linux.

And so I bring forth to share with you all this: Get a Mac Spoof and Get a Mac spoof 2.

And in the kind of news that actually disturbs; I had a good day today; nobody died…

KateWE

Kate's allegedly a human (although increasingly right-wing bigots would say otherwise). She's definitely not a vampire, despite what some other people claim. She's also mostly built out of spite and overcoming oppositional-sexism, racism, and other random bullshit. So she's either a human or a lizard in disguise sent to destroy all of humanity. Either way, she's here to reassure that it's all fine.

  1. Heh. I recently got a new PC. Intended to be just a RAID fileserver, but once I got it I had to build X/KDE didn’t I… And Beryl.

Oh wow, Linux has come on a bit!

OK, it took me about a week to get it to the way i *want* it, which is a serious failure of productivity given with a new Mac all I do is remove the excess icons from the Dock and make it auto-hide, but once there, with the fonts pretty and beryl behaving sensibly, it is just *Gorgeous*.

Pity I’ve moved to using Scrivener for my writing, as that’s very firmly Mac-only. Such a pity I’m considering writing a writing-software app in Java just for the portability.

  2. The ads are pretty good. And really, that girl is Linux? I’ve gotta get me that window manager.

  3. (belatedly) Gentoo, of course. :-) My flirtation with Ubuntu lasted until the package manager refused to acknowledge the existence of sun-jdk.
