Don’t look back…

So, last day on Q-Ward at Saint Bob’s Hospital, it was very weird to leave. I guess because while I’ve been there about as long as I was on placements; when I left placements I didn’t leave alone. And I knew I’d be back in the same hospital (except after my second placement…) for the next placement.
Nor did I have to hand in ID cards and my badge (I wanted to keep my badge, it had ‘Staff Nurse’ written on it; I’ve not had a badge with Staff Nurse written on it before). Tomorrow, incidentally, is my leaving party.

So it felt odd. I got dumped in the shower and doused in shaving foam (I still smell of shaving foam!); which I’m taking as a sign of being well loved (and not as a sign of them being desperately pleased that I’m leaving!). I hugged various people, but these things, they kind of lack closure, sometimes. And what’s more odd, is that monday morning (painfully early) I start at St. Fred’s.

Also more odd is the fact that it’s raining. Why is that odd? Because it started just *after* I got home. Now that is abnormal.

At any rate, I made it through the first 6 months of being qualified; now onto the hard bit…

In other news, last weeks episode of Dr Who featured urbexing, and oddly enough 1969 (the year my car was made). How awesome is that? Now they just have to squeeze in East German motorcycles and they’ll have my life in there :-) (it was; incidentally, a thoroughly awesome epsiode, especially given that it was a one-parter).

Kate's a human mostly built out of spite and overcoming transphobia-racism-and-other-bullshit. Although increasingly right-wing bigots would say otherwise. So she's either a human or a lizard in disguise sent to destroy all of humanity. Either way, it's all good.
