I think the install is now done. The machine is quicker and… nicer. So much nicer. Oooh, it’s yummy.
I’ve set it up so everyone’s got their own little user space. Everyone does have to put up with my screen res though, because my monitor / XP isn’t clever enough to do separate resolutions for different people – at least not as far as I can tell.
Yesterday Trey and I went halvesies on a dual layer DVD-Writer, which means that some stuff can get cleared off (not a huge amount); some backed up (at last) and I can make a DVD of my stuff to send to my mum.
It must be said this was suprisingly painless. The disk is, I’m certain, still a hideous mess, with bits of the Win2k install left on there; but hey, what the hell.
I’m just about to start the cylces of Windows Updating.

I’ve also got the pushbike all ready for tomorrow and when it’s got a bit less… well… hot, I’ll head out to the bank and to some supplier or other of ‘batteries’. Expect tiredness tonight.
Still, I don’t think I’m doing too badly today. I’ve been swimming, made Crab-apple Jelly (pseudo jam; if it sets); eaten some of the bread I baked yesterday for lunch (leaving some to have with the soup that Trey and I made yesterday, so I can have that for dinner); completely reinstalled this machine, or at least largely done so and I’ve also bunged the last lot of stuff through the tumble drier.

I’m very enamoured with this MacOS style hybrid. Very. Uh hu.
Anyway, I should get my lapytopy fired up and connected up and print out stuff, and sort out the work for tomorrow. Maybe I can make a drinkable cup of coffee this time, too (I made one earlier that whatever I did to it… it was just awful, awful awful awful).
