I just feel solidly sick.

I can see my life falling apart. Collapsing around me. Like some fucking nightmare.

I was working. I just want to throw up now.

Kate's allegedly a human (although increasingly right-wing bigots would say otherwise). She's definitely not a vampire, despite what some other people claim.
