Post nights healthy breakfast at harts
If you ever trip and fall in public, get up, laugh to yourself, and say to anyone looking: “Sorry, it’s just been so long since I’ve inhabited a body.”
I get more and more exciterrified. We got an email a couple of days ago saying that our visa application is either being processed, or will shortly be processed. Well, that and that they’ve taken payment which makes it more real, and more scary.
We’re gonna live in Ah-merica…
…
Of course, with each bonus comes a step backwards. So we found out a few weeks back that our (3rd) attempt to have a child failed. We’re now kinda out of money for that, especially with moving costs piling up. We went to the clinic yesterday, and I don’t really know what I hoped for… Mainly some magic, I think. Sadly no magic was forthcoming, so we’re not sure where we’re going on that front…
Wisconsin GOP Passes Bill Banning Poor People From Buying Shellfish, Potatoes And Ketchup
This is horrifying and gross, because the list includes:
- Cranberry sauce and pie filling. (Poor people can forget about making dessert for Thanksgiving dinner.)
- Creamed vegetables
- Baked beans
- Pickles
- Pork and beans
- Frozen veggies that come in packages featuring pasta, nuts, rice, cheese, or meats
- French fries and hash browns
- Sharp cheddar cheese, Swiss, and fresh mozzarella, shredded and sliced cheeses (except American cheese of course), cheese food, spreads, and products. Even Kosher cheese is banned unless you apply to get a specific check for it which basically could identify who the poor Jewish people are. (This is really gross and skeevy because of how this is isolating Jewish people and outing them.)
- Canned peas and green beans
- Albacore tuna, red salmon, and fish fillets
- Bagels, pita bread, English muffins
- White rice and wild rice
- Taco shells
- Almond, rice, goat, and soy milk.
- Brown eggs and any eggs produced by cage-free or free range chickens, which basically helps corporate chicken farms
- Several kinds of infant food
- Anything in bulk
- Anything organic or natural
here’s the list, for anyone who’s skeptical like i am. it’s on a real-ass government-ass website. i am, tbh, disgusted.
Thanks for the link. That is horrifying and disgusting.
The list is actually worse- no peanuts, SEASONINGS, SOUPS, any canned beans, WHITE RICE, anything organic or natural, and anything like lactose free/kosher milk, or anything that might be necessary to a religious group or someone with conditions such as celiac or lactose intolerance basically have to fill out forms which singles them out based on health/religious reasons.
This is really, really gross.
Is it just me or did they basically rule out basically all the cheapest and easiest to prepare food? Because that is bullshit.
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK
I have food stamps in a different state and this list is essentially my grocery just when I go to the store. These are easy to prepare, quick, filling meals and most of them have a long shelf life and can be stored for emergencies or of you use up your food stamps before the end of the month. This is absolutely a blatant act of violence against poor families and I hope it continues to gain more national outrage.
This is utterly disgusting. I cannot begin to express my contempt for for these rules. I honestly found it hard to read the list of “allowed” and “not allowed” foods, but of course many, many people will have to read and live by that list while trying to care for themselves and their families.
So… basically everything that’s left in is the stuff made by the biggest corporate lobbies?
Seriously, fuck this shit.
I keep thinking how much more powerful the Spiderman origin story would be if Peter Parker was an African American kid, whose Uncle Ben was shot by police while being arrested for a minor parking infraction. There is no formal investigation, and Peter decides to put himself on the line to prevent it happening again. He tackles the white crimes that go unpunished, punishes POC criminals fairly. He is the leveler, always fighting to be without bias, to be just. To protect people like his uncle.
This not only mirrors so much of what’s happening in America, but feeds right into the complex relationship between Spiderman, the authorities and the media.
Peter Parker is a brilliant student, awkward, a nerd, but is branded a thug, a gang member, a criminal, because of his appearance. The media latch on to that and misrepresent him totally.
The police, humilitated by the fact that he refuses to work with them and often punishes cops themselves for brutalizing innocent people, or guilty people who still deserve better treatment than they get, attempt to hunt him down.
……ooh.

You know, I really enjoyed the trailer, but my wife and I concur on this.
No. It’s not Supergirl who has the problem. ‘Superman’ is not called ‘Superboy’ because we do not refer to grown men as ‘boys’ as a general rule. At least, not in the UK. You might, fairly rarely, say ‘Are you going out with the boys’ in reference to a group of men going out with a (usually) male friend, although ‘lads’ is probably more common, but outside that one example, I can’t think of another where it’s reasonably common.
Women though, apparently it’s okay not to differentiate between an adult and a child.
Meh.
