  • One of those days

    It’s all going a bit pear shaped; while in the shower I dropped a nearly full bottle of conditioner on my toe, 25 minutes ago I smacked my arm really hard on the door handle while attempting to answer the phone (turn round and dash to the phone….only there’s a door in the way), and just to make things that teeny bit more perfect, I just managed to scrape the scab off my arm for the second time in two days, entirely by accident I hasten to add.

    My arm is still ringing/aching with the shock of the incredibly hard bash I gave it.

    Now I need to go and make my lunch, only I fear that it could be a dangerous process.

    Oh, and I’m wildly overdrawn, fucked up and can’t afford to pay my CC bill until next week. I am, yes, a moron (and not, as I incorrectly typed, a mormon).

  • Isn’t it funny….

    ….how life repeats itself. Or certain patterns do?

    There I was wandering home with my battered old walkman, reading a book, listening to blues….10 years ago. Just like I did today, only replace battered walkman with battered CD-Walkman, and the blues; specifically; was The Blues Brothers as opposed to John Lee Hooker (which was commonly found in my walkman in 1994).

    Although, today I actually made a bit of a step forwards in the whole “interacting as part of a group” thing; I did the whole speaking to the group and making suggestions and so on…. Which was good.

    For some reason though, I’m feeling a bit mnyur today. Just feel kind of like curling up with some quiet music and a book. Ah well.

  • Keep on runnin’

    So,

    Today I’ve: rewashed some areas of the carpet which didn’t come up particularly well; by using the carpet shampoo at a ratio of 50:50 instead of 1:10 we found it to be quite effective, although the bottles run out a bit quickly; I’ve been to Bath to drop of Rebecca to have remedial work done on areas that got missed; driven back in a much earlier minor which has no frigging seatbelts!; written the speil for the auctions, hoovered upstairs and the stairs, made a bit of video for my forthcoming thing about moggies and uh been running.

    So yeah, still doing it!

    And apparently, Rebecca will be finished later today with a view to returning her to my grubby little paws tomorrow morning :-)

  • Simple solutions are always the best

    So I went down to my parents this weekend (incidentally, I won a copy of Rez! All be happy for me now); this was for two reasons: firstly to collect some items I need to ship off, and secondly to fix their dishwasher and their coffee makes. Oh, and thirdly (yes, I know I said two reasons but you’ll just have to cope, okay?) to take the lamp I bought for them at Ikea up to them (where it’d be more useful than in a box here).

    Well, my Rez Trance Vibrator arrived today. Now I just need a copy of Rez and a shiny new slim PS2. Of course, I’d not realised the bloody thing is top-opening, like the PSOne, which is really annoying. But on the other hand it’s small and cute.

  • Eats, Shoots and Leaves

    Damn this book! It’s brilliant…..

    Okay, I know my grammar’s hardly spectacular, and nor is my spelling for that matter, but I do have a bit of a closet grammar freak hidden (not well hidden, for those that know me) within my soul. And it’s particularly that ferral bloody apostrophe, that one that creeps into things…. But then, then I discover the sin which is the “,” instead of a “‘”. How can people do these things…?

    Anyway, yesterday I saw this: “we,re” at Ikea.

    On a big, big, pre-printed sign.

    All over the country there are probably thousands of those signs with this whacking great typo in it. I actually yelped. I looked up, saw it, and went “urk” on seeing it. And then today, today on Living TV. The program is called “Worlds Apart” (I believe), but in the trailer for it: “word’s apart”.

    Ye-what? What on earthis that meant to be? Nyargh. Make them all stop!
