So, to be fair, I didn’t sleep much last night (or today). Despite staying up until 3am my hayfever woke me up at 9:30, and I’ve not had any extra sleep since then.

On the plus side, my parts for my bike arrived. On the minus side? I broke the new brake master cylinder. I’d forgotten how fragile MZ Alloy is, and I’d also neglected how tired and clumsy I was. One crack later and I’m back on the damaged old master cylinder, down 20 or so quid, and need to order a new one. I’ve also discovered that the old cylinder has actually got a sheared piece of metal across the brake lever pin, which is currently being held together with a thick washer. It’s crap, is what it is. And now I need to ring and order another one, because whilst last year I managed to wedge the front brakelight switch into the old cylinder, this year there’s nothing left. The alloys disintegrated completely, so I can’t get the bike through it’s MOT. This has, as you can probably imagine, left me feeling very fed up. I’m overtired and and my hayfever’s bad (‘cos I’m on nights, I can’t have the antihistamine until the evening).

So, well, I’m going to order the bit for the bike and endevour to have a nap. If I wake up early enough I should make fish pie for dinner; but I’m so tired and fed up I really don’t feel like it at the moment.
