OH, that’s awesome! Mine are in a ‘temporary’ bed (they’ve been in a temporary bed for five years…) and of course they’re outgrowing it. I’ll pot some up – just have to figure out a time to meet! (I was gonna say the market next weekend, but then I remembered I’m signed up for an all-weekend Sean Nos festival/workshop out at Evergreen. Oops. Can I have two weekends, please?)

The market is open Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Sunday. I’m Free Thursday and Friday if that works. I can drive to you or meet you at the market. I’m not sure what would be easier for you. You’re a lot closer to my mom’s house than I thought so it wouldn’t be much of a drive from there. I’m weeding her yard this week.

Today some random kid asked me if I was a boy. I politely but firmly told him I was a girl, but it was a reminder that I don’t seamlessly “pass.” That’s hard for me, because I want to be seen as a woman, full stop.
However, I can be simultaneously visibly trans AND attractive AND feminine. I could spend a bunch more money and expend boundless effort chasing that horizon goal of passing perfectly… but for what? To conform? I like me. I have awesome friends and partners. My family loves me. Lots of people find me attractive and interesting and kind–hearted.
It ain’t bad being me :)
Side point: I have a cisgendered women-friends who’ve been asked if they’re boys by children. Sometimes kids just be kids.
