As Secretary Clinton said the other day, this election will be about who actually counts as American in this country. Does everyone count, or just straight, cis, Christian white people? By picking virulent homophobe/transphobe Mike Pence as his running mate, Donald Trump is signaling that people like me don’t count as Americans.

He will see how absolutely wrong he is when people like me turn out this November to deny him the Presidency.

I really hope you’re right… But having just watched #brexit play out in my ex country, I’m terrified.
