It’s gone. The webcam has gone. Ceased. Ended.
The BT848 card managed to crash my machine twice in about an hour, on one occasion when it was in the middle of installing a patch. So that’s it. End. Goodbye.
Unless anyone wants to donate to the Get Kate a New Machine fund, in which case I’ll put the BT848 back into a rather cut-down-this machine, and that’ll be the webcam server.
