  • Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany: Putting the special in special effects.* (x

*Thanks to OB visual effects geniuses at Intelligent Creatures for making multiple Tatiana Maslanys possible!

Having existed in the dark ages of time in which when things weren’t real on TV you could tell, because the lightbulb that made up the engine of, say, the space ship, was obviously a lightbulb; or the wires that made the magic happen were visible… Sometimes it’s a little freaky to me to realise how much of what I see on TV and movies is not physical props and make up but instead entirely computer generated.

    It is pretty damn incredible.

look at all these little brats (besides the last kid he’s smart)- GAMEBOY WAS THE SHIT.

    oh you poor kids

really guys? as if y’all wouldnt have said the same thing about a room sized computer when you were that age? its a different generation of course theyre gonna be like they they were born in a time where one small thing carries all the games youd wanna play, like get your heads out of your asses ya ignorant fucks

lmfao excuse you my mother worked on base and showed me a room sized computer when i was like 10, AND I THOUGHT IT WAS THE COOLEST FUCKING SHIT I HAD EVER SEEN

TOTALLY! My dad worked in IT and we had a Commodore PET at home – and then at work they had server rooms, back when Server rooms were air-conditioned temples of the computing gods. When everything had blinking lights and tape-spools spinning, and hard disks were the size of a large stack of dinner plates.

    And I saw it

    And it was good.

And I see CTL kit now, occasionally, and I still feel like this:
