Was at City BBQ with my girlfriend for lunch, and this much older white man was BRAZENLY staring daggers at me, like the whole time. I couldn’t help but think about Houston. I couldn’t stop wondering if he’s seen all the right-wing transphobic hate-mongering online and on cable news. I felt cowardly for not confronting him, but who the fuck knows what would have happened then. People of his ilk are armed and pissed about the color of fucking Starbucks cups… I wasn’t about to gamble my life on his reaction to me confronting him.
