This county just made cat-calling a hate crime
Catcalling is now a hate crime in one county. The local police department defines a “misogyny hate crime” as criminal behavior “towards a woman by men simply because they are a woman.” That includes sexist verbal abuse and street harassment. But perhaps unsurprisingly, men in the town are bombarding police with outraged comments.
