Linux get-a-mac spoofs

So, I freely admit to being a Mac junkie these days. But; despite that, there’s still a part of me that wants to love Linux.

And so I bring forth to share with you all this: Get a Mac Spoof and Get a Mac spoof 2.

And in the kind of news that actually disturbs; I had a good day today; nobody died…

Heh. I recently got a new PC. Intended to be just a RAID fileserver, but once I got it I had to build X/KDE didn’t I… And Beryl.

Oh wow, Linux has come on a bit!

OK, it took me about a week to get it to the way i *want* it, which is a serious failure of productivity given with a new Mac all I do is remove the excess icons from the Dock and make it auto-hide, but once there, with the fonts pretty and beryl behaving sensibly, it is just *Gorgeous*.

Pity I’ve moved to using Scrivener for my writing, as that’s very firmly Mac-only. Such a pity I’m considering writing a writing-software app in Java just for the portability.

The ads are pretty good. And really, that girl is Linux? I’ve gotta get me that window manager.

(belatedly) Gentoo, of course. :-) My flirtation with Ubuntu lasted until the package manager refused to acknowledge the existence of sun-jdk.
